Skate School Classes
Welcome to the OISC "Skate School" program.
These sessions are designed to develop your skating ability and make it much easier to transition into ice sports and general skating. We will have Figure, Ice Hockey, and Speed Skating coaches teaching in this program to help guide you through the skill requirements of basic skating. This program is founded on 6 simple skills: FWD/BKW Skating, Stopping, Turning, Crossovers and Single Leg Edges. We have created a badge system to meet the necessary skills to achieve basic skating techniques that make it transferable to all Ice Sports.
We look forward to developing your skills and promoting you to the Ice Sports programs you want to join.
This would be a great start for first-time skaters; adults and kids are welcome.

Weekday Skate School Classes (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday)
Skate School Terms are in 10 week blocks
Dates:

Term 1 starts on January the 27th (Monday)

Term 2 starts on April the 21st (Monday)
- Term 3 starts on July the 14th (Monday)
- Term 4 starts on October the 6th (Monday)
Schedule:
- 3:30 pm till 4:45 pm: FreeSkate/ Warm-Up
- 4:45 pm till 5:15 pm: Group Classes
PRICES:
Drop-In: $30.00 (Rental ice skates included)
10 Session Pass: $250.00

Student/s can come to both weekday and weekend classes
- 10 Session Passes are for individuals only
20 Session Pass: $425.00
- Student/s can come to both weekday and weekend classes
- Option for "Family Friendly Pass" (Card can be used with additional sibilings & parent/s in the one family)
30 Session Pass: $600.00
- Student/s can come to both weekday and weekend classes
- Option for "Family Friendly Pass" (Card can be used with additional sibilings & parent/s in the one family)
* In the event of a replacement card, the pass will made for the current week of the term.
* Term passes are non transferable from one term to the next.
* Skate School passes are not accepted to other programs eg: Figure Sessions and/or general sessions
*TERM PASSES ARE ONLY VAILD FOR THE DURATION OF THE 10 WEEK TERM
Weekend Skate School Classes (Saturday & Sunday)
Skate School Terms are in 10 week blocks
Dates:
- Term 1 starts on February the 1st (Saturday)
- Term 2 starts on April the 26th (Saturday)
- Term 3 starts on July 19th (Saturday)
- Term 4 start on October 11th (Saturday
Schedule:
- 8:30 am Check In
- 9:00 am On the ice
- 9:00 am - 9:45 am Group Lessons (Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced)
- 9:45 am to 11:45 am General skate included in the fee
- If a skater is more than 15 minutes late, they will not be accepted into the class for that day
